Specialities: Board Certified Toxicologist, specializing in environmental and human health impacts of harmful chemicals, especially in aquatic environments, and focusing on Asia, esp. China, and W. Pacific. Much Experience and first-hand knowledge with pollution problems in marginal seas of the Western Pacific, especially China (Qingdao area). Also much experience with pollution problems and issues in Pearl River Delta, Guangdong Province /Guangzhou region
Research Interest: Development and application of new sample preparation techniques including: "Liquid Phase Microextraction (LPME)"; "Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME)"; "Membrane Extraction with Sorbent Interface (MESI)" and "Solid Phase Extraction (SPE)" for trace analysis of organic/ inorganic compounds in food, environmental and biological samples.
